Kalimba is a social and artistic association that uses music as a tool for connection, coexistence, and transformation. Born in the Lakua-Arriaga neighbourhood of Vitoria-Gasteiz, Kalimba fosters intercultural exchange and community participation, bringing together people from diverse backgrounds—especially children and families—through creative and musical activities.

 

Through workshops, concerts, and collective musical encounters, Kalimba builds community and promotes values of solidarity, inclusion, and cultural diversity. Their motto —“Move by necessity, move by humanity”— captures their commitment to a fairer and more empathetic world.

 

At the AFK25 Closing Gala, Kalimba will present a collective sound experience, full of rhythm, emotion, and participation, celebrating the power of music as a shared language.
