Synopsis

The archipelago of Cape Verde and its society developed, throughout its ethnological formation, a mixture of cultures that transformed and recreated the original elements with others brought by cultures from different latitudes. Nôs Dança is a journey with the dancer and choreographer António Tavares to the various islands in search of the dances spread throughout the archipelago, from traditional rhythms to contemporary styles. An encounter with other dancers, musicians and several people who keep stories and knowledge of dances and rhythms brought from other places that gave origin to several genres that enriched the Cape Verdean genesis.
