She currently resides in Madrid, where she graduated in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid (2017) and has subsequently completed several courses, including the Postgraduate course <strong><em>Cultura y Pensamiento de Pueblos Negros <\/em><\/strong>taught by Euro-Mediterranean University Institute, UCM (2018\/2019) and, in 2020, a Cultural Management Course at Momb\u00f3 Art Gallery Spain.<\/p><p>Her solo exhibitions include <strong><em>Tras la m\u00e1scara: De lo tradicional a lo contempor\u00e1neo<\/em><\/strong>, Asociaci\u00f3n Uyama, Madrid (2023); <strong><em>Entre dos mares,<\/em><\/strong> Espacio feminista Annette Cabelli, Madrid (2022); <strong><em>Retazos del Alma<\/em><\/strong>, Museo Africano Mundo Negro (Madrid, 2020); <strong><em>Identity<\/em><\/strong>, touring in various exhibition spaces in the Madrid regi\u00f3n (2017-9); and <strong><em>Desde muy lejos traigo estas Almas<\/em><\/strong>, Episcopio de \u00c1vila (2019). In recent years she has been invited to participate in various group exhibitions in the Madrid area.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-inner-section elementor-element elementor-element-665c6ea elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default qodef-elementor-content-no\" data-id=\"665c6ea\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-inner-column elementor-element elementor-element-0fc6daa\" data-id=\"0fc6daa\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ed933fd elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ed933fd\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>ARTIST\u2019S STATEMENT<\/strong><\/p><p>At present, in addition to my artistic work, I am involved in the creation of the Akiba Art African Gallery, to showcase the work of Afro-Spanish and African artists in Spain, where there is a lack of forums to show our work.<\/p><p>My own work is attempts to integrate painting and sculpture. It is art intended to be touched, felt on the skin, recreated with the gaze.<\/p><p>It combines cargo materials, colorful African fabrics, and other media to extol African women, the great pillars and engines of Africa, while offering a perspective on African cultures distinct from received Eurocentric narratives.
